Happy summer! We hope that wherever you are, you've been able to enjoy some nice weather and relaxing times with friends and family.

Here in the GTA, we're finally out of lockdown and looking forward to booking some (still safely distanced) photoshoots for future stories, as well as a post-second-dose team camping trip.

Speaking of camping, we're big believers in both working hard and taking plenty of downtime, so we were thrilled to connect with psychologist Dr. Devon Price, whose book Laziness Does Not Exist is our new guidebook to work-life balance. Read the interview below. Plus, check out our inspiration piece covering some cross-stitch kit makers across the country. Even if your business has nothing to do with needlework, you're sure to find some tips that apply to you. (Or maybe some cross-stitching to do on your downtime?)

Yours in making,

Co-founders Corinna vanGerwen and Kat Tancock

P.S. As our business grows, we're planning to donate a portion of revenue to charity. Our intention is to find a group that supports Indigenous entrepreneurs in the arts. If you know of any organizations that you think would be the perfect fit with the Workshop community, let us know!
